AUSTIN – Texans for Greg Abbott today released fundraising totals for the reporting period ending on October 25, 2014, and an updated fundraising total for the election to date. The campaign reported:

  • Approximately $13.3 million cash on hand
  • Over $4.2 million raised in the Sept. 26th – Oct. 25th reporting period
  • Over $45 million raised during the election cycle
  • 97 percent of donations from within the State of Texas

Finance Director Sarah Whitley released the following statement:

The incredible support our campaign has received from tens of thousands of Texans is a direct reflection of the enthusiasm Greg Abbott has inspired among Texas voters for his vision to build a better, brighter future for our great state. As we head into the final week of the election, our campaign is humbled and grateful to have received the resources we need to elect Greg Abbott as the next governor of the Lone Star State.

As with all prior reports, Greg Abbott has itemized every contribution received and is proud to have received such overwhelming support from Texans. Greg Abbott’s commitment to transparency stands in stark contrast to Sen. Wendy Davis, who has repeatedly refused to disclose the sources of millions in out-of-state and secret campaign contributions.
