AUSTIN – Following a record-breaking report in June, Texans for Greg Abbott today released fundraising data for the most recent reporting period, ending September 25. The campaign reported:

  • $30.1 million cash on hand.
  • From the current reporting period running from July 1st – September 25th, Texans for Greg Abbott raised $7.8 million.
  • A vast majority of Greg Abbott’s fundraising comes from Texas: 97 percent of Abbott’s contributions came from within the state.

As with all prior reports, Greg Abbott has itemized every contribution received and is proud to have received such overwhelming support from Texans. Greg Abbott’s commitment to transparency stands in stark contrast to Sen. Wendy Davis, who has repeatedly refused to disclose the sources of millions in out-of-state and secret campaign contributions.

“With each passing day, Texans get closer to making one of the most important decisions in the history of our state,” said Texans for Greg Abbott Campaign Manager Wayne Hamilton.”As we approach Election Day, Greg Abbott will continue to crisscross the state to promote his vision that will improve education, preserve individual freedom, grow our economy and secure our border. Greg Abbott is thankful for the record-setting support he has received throughout this campaign and looks forward to visiting with Texans over the next 34 days to talk about his plan to build an even better future for Texas.”
