The Texas model works.  Over the last week three businesses have come to Texas.   Two of which came from California and New York.  This will bring hundreds of jobs and millions in capital investment.  It is truly a blessing to live in this state, as even the future is bigger in Texas!

Governor Abbott made economic development a top priority in his bicentennial blueprint. Mitsubishi Heavy Industries and Jamba Inc (Jamba Juice) both moved their headquarters to Texas, and the SATA Group will constructing a new machine plant in Brownsville, TX.

Here is what Governor Abbott had to say about Mitsubishi Heavy Industries move to Texas:

“Texas is home to around 1,200 MHI Group employees and we are honored that they have chosen Houston for their new U.S. Headquarters.  In Texas, free enterprise flourishes thanks to our low taxes, reasonable regulations and right-to-work laws, and I look forward to Texas’ continued growth as a North American hub for global trade and investment.”

Jobs continue to come to Texas because of our free market and pro-business policies.  Mitsubishi Heavy Industries new headquarters is moving from heavily regulated New York to Houston. 

The SATA Group’s new machine plant will create 300 jobs and $114 million in capital investment.  Governor Abbott said:

“Texas continues to be an economic powerhouse thanks to an environment and government that encourages business growth by limiting taxes, regulations and bureaucracy.  I am proud that SATA Group has chosen to expand in the Rio Grande Valley, bringing high-quality jobs to a region that is vital to the growth of our state. The best thing a government can do to create jobs and prosperity is get out of the way of employers, and as Governor, I will continue to pursue policies that do just that.”

Jamba Inc, which owns and franchises Jamba Juice, is moving from heavily taxed California to Texas.  Governor Abbott on the announcement of Jamba Inc moving to Texas: 

“Nothing is sweeter than another company moving its headquarters to the Lone Star State.  Companies like Jamba relocate to Texas because of our prosperous economic environment, skilled workforce and low cost of owning and operating a franchise. I am proud to welcome Jamba to Texas as they continue to grow their brand through franchises across Texas, the United States and the world.”
