AUSTIN – Governor-elect Greg Abbott’s transition team today released a new web ad titled “Getting To Work,” following a series of legislative roundtables Abbott has hosted over the past week in San Antonio, Arlington, Houston and Tyler.
“If we are going to build a better Texas, I think one of the first and most important things we can focus on is education,” Gov.-elect Abbott says in the video. “We’re all going to pay a price if these kids don’t get off to a good start. And we simply have to build more and better roads in Texas – more and better, higher-paying jobs. We have job vacancies out there that can be filled and we will champion the people of this state and lift up the people of this state first and foremost. I know that we can get that done.”
