CYPRESS – Governor Greg Abbott today underscored Texas’ commitment to public safety, border security, economic freedom, and property tax relief while calling on conservative grassroots leaders to boost voter turnout ahead of the next election cycle.
“You all are essential to what we are trying to achieve in this next election,” said Governor Abbott. “We would be making a mistake if we thought this was going to be an easy race. We cannot give in or give up. The most important thing any club or organization can do is increase voter turnout. We will have a red wave rise across Harris County, and I will invest the largest portion of my money there to ensure we turn it red.”

Governor Abbott emphasized Texas’ leadership in supporting veterans, securing the border, and strengthening public safety, including holding activist judges accountable and keeping dangerous criminals off the streets. He highlighted that Texas remains the economic powerhouse of America, with record job growth, rising wages, and a business climate that’s unmatched. The Governor also outlined his property tax plan that will rein in runaway local property tax hikes, end skyrocketing appraisals, shift power away from local taxing authorities, and put Texans on a clear path toward abolishing school district property taxes.
