Riley Gaines Endorses Governor Abbott for Reelection
AUSTIN – Riley Gaines today endorsed Governor Greg Abbott for reelection. Riley Gaines is a national leader in defending women’s spaces, fairness in sports, and standing up for women’s safety, privacy, and equal opportunities.
“Riley Gaines has been a champion for protecting women’s sports and it is an honor to have her endorsement,” said Governor Abbott. “Keeping men out of women’s sports and private areas such as restrooms and locker rooms is just common sense. Together, we will continue to protect Texas women and keep Texas moving in the right direction.”
“I am proud to endorse Governor Abbott for re-election. Governor Abbott has made it his mission to unapologetically defend Texas’ most precious freedoms and to uphold the pro-life and pro-family values that make Texas strong,” said Riley Gaines. “From the beginning, Governor Abbott has been an outstanding champion for female athletes at all levels of competitive sport. It is thanks to his leadership that there is fairness, equality, and privacy in women’s sports in Texas. I know firsthand the challenges girls and young women face when institutions ignore basic biological reality and allow males into our spaces. I’ll never stop fighting to protect the rights, safety, and fairness that female athletes deserve. Governor Abbott has been a true leader in Texas standing up to radical, woke gender ideology and I am grateful for the actions he has taken to protect the integrity of fair competition. Because of his efforts, the future of women’s sports in Texas is bright.”
Governor Abbott is committed to defending the values that make Texas the greatest state in the nation. He signed the Save Women’s Sports Act prohibiting men from competing in women’s sports, signed legislation recognizing only two sexes – male and female, and mandated that individuals must use restrooms, locker rooms, and other private spaces based on their biological sex. Governor Abbott has led the fight to restore common sense, and he will continue to safeguard Texas values.
