Texas Association of Nurse Anesthetists PAC and the Texas Society of Anesthesiologists PAC Endorse Governor Abbott for Reelection

AUSTIN — Governor Greg Abbott today received the endorsement of key organizations representing anesthesia professionals across Texas: the Texas Association of Nurse Anesthetists PAC (TxANA) and the Texas Society of Anesthesiologists PAC. These organizations represent thousands of physicians and certified registered nurse anesthetists (CRNAs) committed to delivering safe, high-quality care to patients across Texas.

“Careers in the medical field will always be necessary in Texas,” said Governor Abbott. “Building the future of healthcare is crucial to the state’s progress. Without an effective and robust healthcare system, Texas would no longer be the best state to live, work, and raise a family. I am grateful for the support of the Texas Association of Nurse Anesthetists, the Texas Society of Anesthesiologists, and the US Anesthesia Partners PACs for endorsing me for reelection, and I look forward to working with them in the future to support Texas’s needs.”

“CRNAs are indispensable to Texas health care — advancing patient safety, expanding access, and ensuring that every community, including rural Texas, has the anesthesia care it needs,” said TxANA PAC Treasurer Wendy Odell, DNP, CRNA. “Governor Abbott’s clear and consistent support for the CRNA profession and its vital contributions to our state’s health care system is why the TxANA PAC is honored to offer its endorsement.”

“Governor Abbott understands the importance of physician-led, team-based care in protecting patients during surgical and emergency procedures,” said Texas Society of Anesthesiologists Government Affairs Chair Dr. Lisa Weiss.

“Governor Abbott has supported policies that uphold high medical standards and safeguard patient safety. For these reasons, we are proud to endorse Governor Abbott for re-election,” said Texas Society of Anesthesiologists President Dr. Elizabeth Rebello.

The Texas Association of Nurse Anesthetists PAC and the Texas Society of Anesthesiologists PAC work to advance and promote high-quality anesthesia care for their patients. By working with government officials, healthcare advocates can become a voice for Texas patients and physicians by sharing personal stories and perspectives. These groups connect nurses and physicians interested in anesthesia and expand their education.
