HIGH TAX HINOJOSA WANTS TO RAISE TAXES ON TEXAS SMALL BUSINESSES
AUSTIN — Don’t let her Whataburger prop cup distract you, Gina Hinojosa wants to raise your taxes. She said a state income tax “makes sense,” has a history of raising property taxes, and she even wants to raise taxes on Texas businesses. Hinojosa’s goal is “reining in” Texas job creators and “making them pay.” Texas is Texas because we allow businesses to flourish, but High Tax Hinojosa would destroy the job creation engine that has kept Texas going.
“Gina Hinojosa has voted to raise property taxes, called for a new state income tax, and now wants to punish small businesses that have kept the Texas economy humming. Increasing business taxes would directly lead to job losses and an economic slowdown. Texans want opportunity and jobs, not crippling business taxes, but that’s exactly what Gina Hinojosa would do to them.”
