AUSTIN – Governor Greg Abbott tonight issued the following statement regarding Representative Briscoe Cain’s primary win in House District 128. The Governor joined Representative Cain last week for a Get Out the Vote event in Baytown.
“The people of Harris County made their voices heard at the ballot box today, and Representative Cain came out on top of a hard-fought and deserving battle to be your Republican nominee,” said Governor Abbott. “Representative Cain is a dynamic leader who is deserving of this incredible primary win. Thanks to the hard work of hundreds of volunteers and Republican supporters, we are one step closer to ensuring that we keep Texas red – but we have to continue this momentum in the months to come. From now till election day, Republicans must mobilize throughout HD 128 to secure a re-election victory for Representative Cain.”
