AUSTIN – Texas Governor-elect Greg Abbott’s transition team today released a new web ad, titled, “Getting To Work,” featuring Governor-elect Abbott expressing his readiness to build an even better Texas for future generations while ensuring a smooth transition process and a productive start to the legislative session.
“On Election Night, I made a promise to the people of Texas,” Abbott said in the ad. “Tonight, we celebrate. Tomorrow, we go to work. I’m going to work every single day to keep Texas the best state in the United States of America.”
Since Election Day, Abbott has held meetings with legislators, agency officials and business and community leaders – including an economic development roundtable in the Rio Grande Valley – to discuss priorities for the upcoming legislative session and his plan to build a better future for Texas.
