AUSTIN – The Associated Builders and Contractors of Greater Houston (ABC Greater Houston) today endorsed Governor Greg Abbott for re-election. ABC is a national construction industry trade association, with the Greater Houston chapter being formed in 1969. Robert Burelsmith, Chair of the Associated Builders and Contractors of Greater Houston, spoke highly of Governor Abbott’s commitment to strengthening the economy and supporting free enterprise in the state of Texas. In part, Burelsmith said, “Throughout his time in office, Governor Abbott has fought for lower taxes, smarter regulations, and quicker permitting times. He understands that the key to a growing economy and construction industry is to get government out of the way to allow free enterprise to flourish.”
