AUSTIN – Governor Greg Abbott and Dallas CLEAT-NLLEO today held a joint press conference in Dallas, where the organization announced their endorsement of Governor Abbott for re-election. Dallas CLEAT-NLLEO works to strengthen the relationship between law enforcement and the Dallas community and advocates for greater support and resources for law enforcement officers. This marks the ninth endorsement by a law enforcement organization for Governor Abbott, and follows the announcement of support by the Organization of Spanish Speaking Officers this past Sunday in Houston.

In a statement from Dallas CLEAT-NLLEO, the organization praised Governor Abbott’s unwavering support for law enforcement, saying, “Throughout his first term as governor, Greg Abbott has consistently supported law enforcement across the state. This commitment is the reason the Dallas CLEAT-NLLEO is proud to endorse Governor Abbott. We know that he will continue to fight for us over the next four years.”

“I am honored to receive the support of Dallas CLEAT-NLLEO, and I am thankful for their dedication to the people of Dallas,” said Governor Abbott. “Our communities are safer and more secure thanks to the hard work and sacrifice of our law enforcement officers. We must continue to extend our support to our law enforcement communities and ensure that our message is clear: Texas has their back.”
