AUSTIN – The Dallas County Sheriff’s Association (DCSA) and Governor Abbott held a joint press conference today where DCSA announced their support of Greg Abbott for re-election. This endorsement speaks to Governor Abbott’s unwavering support of Texas’ law enforcement community and follows seven other law enforcement associations who have announced their support of Governor Abbott. Among these endorsements include the Combined Law Enforcement Associations of Texas, Texas Department of Public Safety Officers Association PAC, the Dallas Police Association PAC, the Texas Fraternal Order of Police PAC, the San Antonio Police Officers Association PAC, the Texas Municipal Police Association PAC, and the Houston Police Officers Union PAC.

“I am grateful for the support of the Dallas County Sheriff’s Association, and I promise to continue fighting for the men and women of law enforcement over the next four years,” said Governor Abbott. “Since taking office, I have worked to make our communities safer and provide our law enforcement officers with the support they deserve. I look forward to working alongside associations like DCSA to expand upon this and make Texas even safer.”

“Governor Abbott is a true friend to law enforcement and he has consistently provided the protections and resources we need to effectively serve the Dallas community,” said Senior Sergeant Chris Dyer, President of the Dallas County Sheriff’s Association. “We are proud to endorse Governor Abbott for four more years because we know he will continue his steadfast support of law enforcement and he will work to keep Texas safe and secure in the process.”
