MIDLAND – Today, Governor Greg Abbott announced the endorsement of five key organizations from the Texas energy industry. Hosted by 3S Services, and oilfield services company in Midland.

Governor Abbott thanked those who spoke at the event including, Todd Staples of the Texas Oil and Gas Association Good Government Committee, Jason Modglin of the Texas Alliance of Energy Producers and Thure Cannon, of the Texas Pipeline Association.

“Energy is the centerpiece of the Texas economy,” said Governor Abbott. “More than one million Texans are employed by some portion of the energy sector. These are high paying jobs and are a critical component of our state’s booming economy.”

“Governor Greg Abbott is a proven conservative leader focused on Texas being energy secure and not dependent on foreign countries for our energy needs. Governor Abbott knows energy jobs are the best jobs in America and his leadership is helping Texas lead the nation in job growth and economic success,” said Todd Staples, treasurer of the Texas Oil & Gas Association Good Government Committee.

Governor Abbott noted the importance of the energy industry to Texas saying, “Whether it’s oil, natural gas, chemical products, or the pipelines that carry them, this state is the energy state. Because of your support today we will keep Texas the greatest state in America to live, work and raise a family.”

Governor Abbott’s campaign also released an online video today highlighting some of the energy groups that are supporting his re-election. The video features Todd Staples and Hector Rivero, President of the Texas Chemical Council.

 

 

In the video, Hector Rivero says, “With Governor Abbott’s continued leadership, and proven results, Texas can continue to be a state of low regulation and low taxes. He will ensure Texas maintains its status as the nation’s leading energy producer, and a home to innovative chemical technologies.”
