AUSTIN – Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Angelina D.A. Gooden as judge of the 280th Judicial District Court in Harris County for a term set to expire December 31, 2018, or until her successor shall be duly elected and qualified.
Angelina D.A. Gooden of Pearland, Harris County, is a partner at Gooden & Gooden Attorneys at Law. She is a member of the State Bar of Texas and the Texas Council on Family Violence and a former member of the Houston Bar Association. Additionally, she is a board member for the Bridge Over Troubled Water Shelter. Gooden received a Bachelor of Arts from Hampton University, Master of Arts from Norfolk State University, and a Juris Doctor degree from Texas Southern University Thurgood Marshall School of Law.
