AUSTIN – Governor Greg Abbott today bolstered support for Alan Schoolcraft for House District 44 and Jeff Bauknight for House District 30 at Get Out The Vote events in Cibolo and Hallettsville, respectively. The Governor also reminded Texans that early voting started on Monday and goes through Friday, May 24.

Governor Abbott started his day in Cibolo backing Alan Schoolcraft for House District 44. The Governor championed Schoolcraft as the true conservative champion Texans in House District 44 need representing them in the Texas House of Representatives, pointing to his commitment to empower Texas parents, secure the southern border, and put Texas on a pathway to eliminating property taxes.

“I am fighting for those Republican primary voters who said we want school choice,” said Governor Abbott. “Who are ready for a new State Representative who will support school choice, secure the border, and cut property taxes for all Texans. We have been winning, and we are about to win again next Tuesday when we elect Alan Schoolcraft for House District 44.”

The Governor then traveled to Hallettsville where he urged Texans to vote for Jeff Bauknight for House District 30. Governor Abbott touted Jeff Bauknight’s strong, conservative record as Mayor of Victoria where he cut property taxes and backed the men and women of law enforcement.

“From the White House to the State House, we need you to cast your vote for people who are going to fight for you,” said Governor Abbott. “Jeff Bauknight is part of a winning team who will make sure the people of Hallettsville are going to be well protected for generations to come. Next Tuesday, we will elect Jeff Bauknight to be House District 30’s new conservative State Representative.”
