SAN ANTONIO – Governor Greg Abbott today called on Republicans to get out the vote for the May runoff elections during a campaign event in Bexar County. The Governor urged supporters to vote for Texas Railroad Commission Chairman Jim Wright, candidate for Congressional District 35 John Lujan, and candidate for Senate District 19 Marcus Cardenas.
“Defeating woke judges and politicians keeps cities safer, which we can only do with your vote,” said Governor Abbott. “The key to keeping Texas red is voter turnout. We need every single Republican across the state to head to the ballot box for every election. It is our responsibility to do our part and get out the vote for future generations.”
Governor Abbott urged voters to download the Abbott Impact app and highlighted the work conservatives across Texas are doing to strengthen the economy, secure the border, and defend the values that make Texas the nation’s economic powerhouse. The Governor touted his five-point property tax relief plan and four new public safety initiatives aimed at cracking down on violent criminal illegal immigrants and keeping dangerous criminals behind bars. The Governor emphasized that voting in the upcoming runoff elections is essential to keeping Texas moving in the right direction, ensuring Texans’ voices are heard, and advancing conservative priorities that will make Texas an even better place to live, work, and raise a family.
