AUSTIN – Governor Greg Abbott yesterday called on Texans to support Chris Spencer for House District 1 during a volunteer kickoff event in Reno, Texas. Following the kickoff, Governor Abbott went door-knocking with volunteers in the neighborhood to urge Texans to elect Chris Spencer as their next State Representative.
“Chris is the right conservative voice you need representing you in Austin,” said Governor Abbott. “I endorsed Chris Spencer in the race for House District 1 because I know he is the best person to tackle the No. 1 issue in the nation—securing our border. He will work with me to fight back against President Biden’s open border policies. When you go door-to-door today, make sure you remind voters that Chris Spencer will help secure our border.”
At the kickoff event, Governor Abbott championed Chris Spencer as the conservative leader Texans in House District 1 need fighting for their values in Austin and lauded his dedication to empowering parents and keeping property taxes low. While block-walking, the Governor was joined by over 50 local Texans who support Chris Spencer.
