AUSTIN – Governor Greg Abbott today delivered remarks at the Harrison County Republican Women’s Columbus Day Dinner in Marshall. The Governor highlighted the achievements of the 87th Legislation Session—including laws to uphold voter integrity, protect life, and ban censorship on social media platforms. Governor Abbott also thanked the women of Harrison County for their work to elect conservative leaders up and down the ballot and encouraged all Republicans to come together ahead of the 2022 election to keep Texas red and ensure a brighter future for the Lone Star State.

“We achieved great things for the people of Texas during the 87th Legislative Session, and those victories would not have been possible without the Harrison County Republican Women and conservative activists across the state who elected principled leaders in 2020,” said Governor Abbott. “We can build upon these victories by keeping Texas red in 2022 and sending even more Republican leaders to the legislature. In order to do this, we must stand united as a party. If we are divided, Texas will fall—and if Texas falls, America falls. Winning Texas and saving America starts right now in Harrison County. By coming together, we will ensure Republican victories in every corner of the state and ensure an even brighter future for Texas.”
