Conservative Voters Deliver Resounding Mandate to Keep Borders Secure, Uphold Law and Order, and Defend Texas Values
AUSTIN — Governor Greg Abbott tonight secured a decisive victory in the Texas Republican Primary, earning strong support from conservative voters and building momentum for the November general election.
“Texans made their voices heard loud and clear tonight,” said Governor Abbott. “This victory belongs to the hardworking Texans who believe in the promise of our state and are committed to keeping Texas strong, safe, and prosperous. As we look toward November, the mission is clear. There are activists and liberal politicians who want to turn Texas into a socialist state with more government, more regulation, and less freedom, and that will not happen on our watch. Together, we will continue to secure the border, support our law enforcement officers, empower parents, and expand opportunity for every Texan. Freedom is worth fighting for and we know that it means something to be a Texan. We are going to uphold the values our great state was built on, and we’re going to fight to keep Texas, Texas.”
Governor Abbott has a proven conservative record of delivering results for Texas families. He deployed unprecedented border security resources, passed the strongest bail reform measures in Texas history, and ushered in a once-in-a-lifetime economy powered by hardworking Texans in every corner of the state. Governor Abbott is backed by more than 200 conservative leaders, associations, and political organizations from across Texas.
