AUSTIN — Governor Greg Abbott today announced that he is endorsing Bee County Sheriff Alden Southmayd for re-election.
“Sheriff Alden Southmayd is an exemplary conservative leader who works tirelessly to keep Texas a law-and-order state,” said Governor Abbott. “His tough-on-crime policies have helped ensure dangerous criminals are kept behind bars. Sheriff Alden Southmayd’s record of serving hardworking Texans of Bee County and upholding the rule of law is why I am proud to endorse him for his re-election bid.”
