AUSTIN – Governor Greg Abbott today endorsed Chief Justice Jeff Rose for re-election to the Third Court of Appeals. Chief Justice Rose’s career has been marked by a dedication to public service, including his work as Deputy First Assistant Attorney General under then-Attorney General Abbott. Governor Abbott is grateful for Chief Justice Rose’s experience and commitment to the rule of law, and for his hard work to keep the Third Court of Appeals one of the most productive and diligent courts in the United States.

“Chief Justice Rose’s strict interpretation of the Constitution and adherence to the rule of law make him deserving of re-election, and I am grateful for his service and commitment to the people of Texas,” said Governor Abbott. “I am proud to support Chief Justice Rose for another term, and I know that he will continue to be a qualified and effective on the Third Court of Appeals.”

The Third Court of Appeals serves the counties of Bastrop, Bell, Blanco, Burnet, Caldwell, Coke, Comal, Concho, Fayette, Hays, Irion, Lampasas, Lee, Llano, McCulloch, Milam, Mills, Runnels, San Saba, Schleicher, Sterling, Tom Green, Travis, and Williamson.
