Governor Abbott Endorses Ed Thompson for Re-Election As State Representative

AUSTIN – Governor Greg Abbott today endorsed Representative Ed Thompson for re-election as State Representative of House District 29. A champion of public education, Representative Thompson fought hard in the House to increase teacher pay and invest more money in Texas schools. In a statement, the Governor expressed his gratitude to Representative Thompson for consistently upholding conservative values, and appealed to the voters of House District 29 to send Representative Thompson back to Austin for another term.

“I am proud to endorse Representative Thompson for re-election, and remain grateful for his hard work and strong conservative voice in the House,” said Governor Abbott. “From his leadership on education reform to his efforts to shorten wait times at driver’s license offices,” Representative Thompson has always pursued ways to improve the lives of all Texans. The people of District 29 can continue to trust Representative Thompson to deliver big on the issues they care about.”
