Governor Abbott Endorses Kronda Thimesch For State Representative Of House District 65

AUSTIN – Governor Greg Abbott today endorsed Kronda Thimesch for State Representative of House District 65. Thimesch is a business-minded leader who knows what it takes to keep Texas the best state to live, work, and raise a family. Governor Abbott looks forward to their work together to strengthen the Texas economy, improve education, secure our communities, and defend Texas values.

“I am proud to endorse Kronda Thimesch for State Representative of House District 65, and I know that she will be an extraordinary leader for the people of Denton County,” said Governor Abbott. “Kronda is a proven conservative leader in her community, and she understands what it takes to uphold the values that make Texas exceptional. Kronda Thimesch (KRAWN-da TIMM-esh) and her husband Jeff have been Denton County residents for almost 30 years, raising four children in Lewisville ISD schools. Thimesch graduated from Texas Tech University with a degree in landscape architecture, which is where she met her husband, Jeff. Together, they founded Green Meadows Landscaping in 1989, a Lewisville-based business which serves commercial and residential landscape clients all over the Metroplex. Kronda also started a second business with her husband and two sons in 2018 called Gardens To Go, an online landscape plant and materials delivery service for North Texas. Thimesch is serving her second term on the Lewisville ISD Board of Trustees after being first elected in 2015. She is a Republican precinct chair in Denton County, and was named “Denton County GOP Volunteer of the Year” in 2019. Thimesch is also President and a founding member of the Republican Women of Denton, Collin, and Dallas Counties. Thimesch is an active member of many organizations in the metroplex, including the Lewisville, Flower Mound and Metrocrest Chambers of Commerce, the Castle Hills Education Foundation, and the Highland Village Business Association.
