AUSTIN – Governor Greg Abbott today endorsed Lyle Larson for re-election as State Representative of House District 122.  Representative Larson was a key figure in the passage of several of Governor Abbott’s priorities during the 86th Legislative Session, including school finance reform, property tax relief, and disaster relief legislation. Additionally, Representative Larson has championed policies that help secure Texas’ water future as the Chairman of the House Natural Resources Committee and as a member of the Southwestern States Water Commission. In a statement, Governor Abbott thanked Representative Larson for his contributions to the highly successful 86th Legislative Session, and urged the people of Bexar County to send Representative Larson back to Austin to continue serving the state of Texas.

“I am proud to endorse Representative Larson for re-election, and I am grateful for our partnership in building a better future for Texas,” said Governor Abbott. “Thanks to the principled, conservative leadership of Representative Larson, the 86th Legislative Session ushered in monumental reforms that strengthened the Lone Star State – including reforming our school finance system, providing property tax relief to home and business owners, and making Texas more resilient and prepared for future disasters. The people of House District 122 can put their trust in Representative Larson to faithfully advocate for the issues that matter most to Bexar County.”
