AUSTIN – Governor Greg Abbott today endorsed Mayes Middleton for re-election as State Representative of House District 23. Representative Middleton’s leadership this session led to the passage of many important pieces of legislation including property tax relief, school finance reform, and allowing children to operate lemonade stands in their neighborhoods. Governor Abbott is proud to support Representative Middleton for re-election, and encourages the people of Chambers and Galveston counties to send him back to Austin for another term.

“Representative Middleton worked hard to defend Texas values this session, and his leadership was crucial in important legislative victories including property tax and school finance reform,” said Governor Abbott. “I am proud to endorse Representative Middleton for another term in the Texas House, and I hope the people of the Gulf Coast will join me in supporting him for re-election.”
