Governor Abbott Endorses Michael Cloud For Congress In CD-27

AUSTIN – Governor Greg Abbott has endorsed Michael Cloud for Congress in the 27th district of Texas. Cloud is the former chairman of the Victoria County Republican Party, and has been a longtime advocate for conservative ideals. In a video released by his campaign, Governor Abbott spoke highly of Cloud’s commitment to addressing the needs of Texans in the Coastal Bend, particularly those impacted by Hurricane Harvey, and encouraged the constituents of CD-27 to vote for Cloud in the June 30th special election.

“And as we continue rebuild from Hurricane Harvey, we need leaders in Washington like Michael Cloud who will advocate for the resources Texas needs to restore the communities damaged by the storm,” said Governor Abbott. “With Michael Cloud, the voters of the 27th district will be sending a proven conservative to Washington who will represent their interests & restore integrity to the office.”
