Governor Abbott Endorses Senator Pete Flores For Re-Election

AUSTIN – Governor Greg Abbott today endorsed Senator Pete Flores for re-election. As a freshman senator, Senator Flores displayed an unwavering commitment to conservative ideals and tirelessly defended the values that matter most to his district. Governor Abbott is grateful for Senator Flores’ leadership this session, and for his role in passing school finance and property tax reform. Senator Flores was the first Republican to be elected in District 19 in 139 years.

“I am grateful for the way Senator Flores has represented his district, and for his unwavering commitment to securing school finance and property tax reform this session,” said Governor Abbott. “Senator Flores understands what it takes to be an effective leader, and I am proud to endorse him for another term.
