AUSTIN – Governor Greg Abbott today held a Get Out The Vote kick-off call in Dallas with Republican volunteers and supporters from across the state. During the call, the Governor thanked volunteers for their hard work to mobilize voters and secure Republican victories in the upcoming election. The Governor was joined for the call by Senator John Cornyn and Genevieve Collins, the Republican nominee for the 32nd Congressional District.

The future of Texas will be determined by the outcome of this election,” said Governor Abbott. “That’s why the hard work of our volunteers is so important. Two dozen races and a half dozen congressional seats will be determined by the efforts of the thousands of volunteers across the state to knock on doors, make phone calls, and recruit more volunteers. With just 23 days until Election Day, every conversation matters. Thank you to the volunteers who have given their time and effort to securing Republican victories and keeping Texas Red. As we enter Early Voting, we need Texans from across the state to head to the polls and vote for Republicans up and down the ballot so we can ensure an even brighter future for our state.”

Over 3,000 volunteers have been recruited through Texans For Greg Abbott to assist in down-ballot Republican races. These volunteers have made more than 500,000 calls to voters, and will exceed 1 million calls by election day. The campaign has also conducted nearly 1,000 voter drives and have registered more than 250,000 new voters.
