AUSTIN – Governor Greg Abbott and First Lady Cecilia Abbott today announced that they will be sending Teaching Superstar certificates to recognize innovative, hardworking teachers in Texas in honor of Teacher Appreciation Week. Texans can request this special recognition for teachers by filling out an online form, and a Teaching Superstar certificate will be sent to the provided address.
“In Texas, our mission is to provide every student with a quality education and the tools they need to succeed in life—and this mission wouldn’t be possible without our tremendous teachers,” said Governor Abbott and the First Lady. “Even as Texas faces the COVID-19 pandemic, our teachers have stepped up to the challenge and continued their vital work to educate our students. We thank these Teaching Superstars for their tireless work and unwavering dedication to young Texans.”
