AUSTIN – Governor Greg Abbott today announced his endorsement of Representative Gary Gates for re-election to House District 28. Gates has served in the Texas Legislature since winning a Special Election in January of 2020.
“Representative Gary Gates knows that we must secure our border. Since the Biden administration abdicated its responsibility to defend our southern border, Representative Gates voted to send troops to the region and has been a key ally in curtailing human trafficking. Gates works tirelessly on behalf of his constituents and stands up for our shared, conservative values. I hope everyone in Ft. Bend County joins me in supporting Representative Gary Gates in this year’s election,” said Governor Abbott.
