AUSTIN – Governor Greg Abbott today announced his endorsement of Senator Joan Huffman for State Senate, District 17. Senator Huffman has served in the State Senate since 2008.
“Senator Huffman has been one of my closest partners in working to secure the future of Texas. Senator Huffman carried the legislation that punished communities for defunding their police departments, was a critical ally on curtailing human trafficking, is a constant advocate for fighting the scourge of deadly fentanyl and even helped us pass state pension reform. I hope everyone from her district joins me in supporting Senator Huffman,” said Governor Abbott.
