AUSTIN – Today, Governor Greg Abbott endorsed Justice Evan Young for the Supreme Court of Texas, Place 9. Before being named to the Supreme Court of Texas last year, Young was a practicing attorney and once served as a clerk for Justice Antonin Scalia at the U.S. Supreme Court.

Governor Abbott said, “Justice Evan Young has a fine legal mind with a record of public service. When I appointed him to the Supreme Court of Texas last year, I knew he would be a fair jurist who strictly interpreted our Constitution. I hope all Texans join me in sending Justice Young back to Austin for a full term on our state’s Supreme Court.”
