AUSTIN – Governor Greg Abbott has issued a proclamation ordering an emergency special runoff election in Texas State Senate District 19 to elect a state senator to serve out the unexpired term of former Senator Carlos Uresti. The emergency special runoff election will be held on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 with early voting beginning September 10, 2018.
Texas State Senate District No. 19, consists of Brewster, Crockett, Dimmit, Edwards, Frio, Kinney, Maverick, Medina, Pecos, Real, Reeves, Terrell, Uvalde, Val Verde, and Zavala counties and parts of Atascosa and Bexar counties.
