Greg Abbott Speaks with Educators in Lubbock
LUBBOCK – Attorney General and gubernatorial candidate Greg Abbott was in Lubbock, TX today where he continued his series of education roundtables. Abbott met with educators and administrators at Lubbock ISD’s Byron Martin Advanced Technology Center to discuss establishing genuine local control.
“I had the opportunity today to visit with administrators, principals and education leaders right here in Lubbock,” Abbott said. “We learned firsthand the needs of education and the common goal that we both share. We want to see the Texas education system rise to the very top in the nation. And in Lubbock, they are implementing the kind of top quality standards to be replicated across the state of Texas – the kind of standards, jobs and skills that employers across the state are demanding.”
