AUSTIN – The Texas Hospital Association’s political action committee, HOSPAC, today endorsed Governor Greg Abbott for re-election. Since its inception in 1930, the Texas Hospital Association and HOSPAC have played powerful roles in advocating for hospitals and health systems across Texas. Cris Daskevich, board chair of HOSPAC, discussed Governor Abbott’s healthcare record in a video released today. Daskevich said, “HOSPAC appreciates Governor Abbott’s dedication to protecting hospital funding and ensuring we have a strong healthcare safety net. We look forward to working with Governor Abbott over the next four years to continue improving Texas’ healthcare system.”

“Our hospitals and health systems provide innovative, life-saving medical care to men and women across our state,” said Governor Abbott. “We must do all we can to make sure these systems have access to the resources they need in order to better serve their communities. I am honored to receive the endorsement of HOSPAC, and I am excited to work with them to strengthen our hospitals and health systems and provide even greater care to the people of Texas.”
