Texas’ business climate is the best in the nation, and as governor, Greg Abbott will keep it that way.
The 2014 Fortune 500 and 1000 rankings were released last week, further validating that businesses around the country see Texas as the land of opportunity. As reported by the Houston Chronicle:
“Everything is bigger in Texas, including the Lone Star State’s presence on the Fortune 500 List.”
Three Texas companies are in the top 10, with 52 total companies calling Texas “home” on the Fortune 500 list. In addition, Texas dominates the Fortune 1000 rankings, with more companies on the list than any other state.
Texas’ low taxes and streamlined regulatory climate allow businesses to thrive, and our free market principles have made us the best state in the nation for job creation and economic strength. As governor, Greg Abbott will ensure that government interference in our economy remains limited, ensuring that every Texan has the opportunity to succeed.
