The Independent Bankers Association of Texas (IBAT) today endorsed Greg Abbott for re-election as the governor of Texas. IBAT represents the interests of the largest state community banking organization in the United States. Chris Williston, President and CEO of IBAT, thanked Governor Abbott for his commitment to fostering a positive environment for the small business community. Williston said, “As governor, he has worked to strengthen the Texas economy by lowering taxes and creating an environment for small businesses, a majority of which are our customers.
