18 Rescued by Helicopter Near Corpus Christi
In the immediate aftermath of Hurricane Harvey’s landfall, the Coast Guard performed water rescues from the Gulf off of Corpus Christi. Captain Tony Hahn, Coast Guard commander of the Corpus Christi sector, reported at least 18 rescues performed by helicopter. He and his team were able to rescue stranded people from fishing boats, tug boats, and barges.
