AUSTIN – The National Federation of Independent Business Texas PAC (NFIB TX PAC) today endorsed Governor Abbott for re-election. The Texas chapter of NFIB represents over 20,000 small businesses in Texas, and advocates on their behalf in the legislature.
“I am proud to receive the endorsement of the NFIB TX PAC,” said Governor Abbott. “Small businesses are the backbone of our state’s economy, and they account for more than 98 percent of businesses in Texas. Without their investment, Texas would not be a global economic power. As we look to the next four years, I will continue working alongside small businesses across Texas to provide even more jobs for Texans and take our economy to even greater heights.”
In a video released today, Will Newton, executive director of NFIB Texas, praised Governor Abbott for his commitment to strengthening the small businesse community here in Texas. Newton said, “The NFIB TX PAC is proud to endorse Governor Greg Abbott for his re-election because of his unwavering support for small businesses and free market values. Under his leadership, the Texas economy is now better than it’s even been, and small business optimism is at an all-time high. We support four more years of Governor Abbott, because he will never stop fighting for Texas small businesses.”
