AUSTIN – The Rural Friends of Electric Cooperatives PAC today endorsed Governor Greg Abbott for re-election. Electric cooperatives have been on the forefront in providing energy security to rural communities in Texas for over 80 years. In a video, Eric Craven of the Rural Friends of Electric Cooperatives PAC praised Governor Abbott’s commitment to the energy sector and rural communities in Texas. Craven said,  “Governor Abbott continues to defend Texas against burdensome regulations and he believes in developing our state’s resources to support our local economies. Governor Abbott understands the values and the needs of rural Texans. He appreciates the vital role cooperatives and their members play in the Texas economy. Texas needs a strong leader who embodies and defends our rural values, which is why the Rural Friends of Electric Cooperatives PAC proudly supports Governor Greg Abbott for four more years.”
