As Attorney General, one of Greg Abbott’s first priorities has been to fight for Texans and to protect them from fraudulent, deceptive and illegal business practices.

Recently, Greg Abbott settled a lawsuit against Apple and five other E-Book publishing houses, accusing them of scheming to sell E-Books at unreasonably high prices. As a result of this settlement, Texans will get their money back.

Texas E-Book readers will receive an account credit or a check based on the number of eligible E-Books they purchased between April 1 2010 and May 21, 2012. The total amount to be distributed to Texans is $12.7 million, based on the number of books purchased by Texans as part of the total $166 million set aside for consumers.
