AUSTIN – Texans For Greg Abbott today released a new ad entitled “Beto Biden Border Crisis.”  The ad highlights Beto O’Rourke’s apathetic response to the crisis at the border, including his plan to tear down the border wall and outright denial of the crisis on hand. Beto’s views, as demonstrated in the ad, mirror President Biden’s own inaction and recklessness on the issue.

TRANSCRIPT:

BETO O’ROURKE: “I’m here to tell you a story from the U.S.-Mexico border. We do not need any walls to solve a problem that we do not have.”

  • O’ROURKE: “I’m here to tell you a profoundly positive story from the U.S.-Mexico border. We do not need any walls – $30 million, 2,000 miles long, 30 feet high, that will not be built on the international boundary line, which is the center line of the Rio Grande River. That wall will be built well into the interior on someone’s ranch, on someone else’s farm, someone else’s home. You and I will be forced to take their property to solve a problem that we do not have.”

ANNA RAWLINGS, SKY NEWS AUSTRALIA: “Meanwhile, in the U.S., a sudden wave of thousands of migrants has sparked a humanitarian crisis at the U.S.-Mexico border.”

NORAH O`DONNELL, CBS NEWS: “And they are now being kept beneath a bridge in squalid conditions.”

MORGAN CHESKY, NBC NEWS: “President Biden, failing to respond in time.”

PRESIDENT JOE BIDEN: “I guess I should be flattered people are coming because I’m the nice guy.”

CHRIS HAYES, MSNBC: “Would you take the wall down now, here?”

O’ROURKE: “I’d take the wall down.”
