The state of Texas first passed a CHL bill in 1995. Despite the fears of many — media and editorial pundits included (not in this space, though) — the state did not return to the days of the wild, wild West, with residents settling their differences at the end of a gun. –Amarillo Globe-News
Greg Abbott believes the right to keep and bear arms was settled in 1791 when the 2nd Amendment was adopted to the U.S. Constitution. He continues to challenge potential federal laws that limit gun rights.
