AUSTIN – The Texas Municipal Police Association PAC (TMPA PAC) today endorsed Governor Greg Abbott for four more years of leadership in the state of Texas. Founded in 1950, TMPA represents the rights and interests of more than 27,000 local, county, and state law enforcement officers. Today’s endorsement of Governor Abbott by TMPA PAC follows several law enforcement organization endorsements including the Dallas Police Association PAC, the Texas Fraternal Order Of Police PAC, and the San Antonio Police Officers Association PAC.

“The men and women of law enforcement put their lives on the line each and every day to keep our communities safe,” said Governor Abbott. “I am proud to support our law enforcement and I am honored to receive the endorsement of TMPA, an esteemed organization within the law enforcement community. Together, the state of Texas will continue to back the blue and keep our law enforcement officers safe.”

James Babb, President of TMPA, spoke highly of Governor Abbott in a video released today, focusing on the governor’s commitment to protecting law enforcement and providing them with the support and resources they need. Babb said, “Governor Abbott has worked tirelessly to ensure that Texas police officers have the resources they need to protect our citizens and keep our communities safe. The Texas Municipal Police Association supports four more years of Governor Abbott because he will fight for a safer Texas.”
