Texas Restaurant Association Endorses Greg Abbott
AUSTIN – Attorney General and gubernatorial candidate Greg Abbott continued his Main Street Texas Tour today in Dallas where he earned the endorsement of the Texas Restaurant Association.
The Texas Restaurant Association is the largest state restaurant association in the country, with membership growing at five percent each year. Texas’ food service industry is a $36.7 billion business and proudly employs more than one million Texans.
At The Original Pancake House, which has been a member of the TRA since 1988, Abbott was introduced by Mark Davis Bailey, President of the Greater Dallas Restaurant Association and CEO of The Original Pancake House. Bailey spoke to Abbott’s understanding of growing business needs and challenges saying, “he’s been a friend to small business and the Texas Restaurant Association. And we’re proud to extend our endorsement for his gubernatorial campaign.”
