AUSTIN – The Texas Restaurant Association Political Action Committee (TRAPAC) today endorsed Governor Abbott for re-election. Restaurant and food service jobs account for 10% of our state’s employment and by 2027 that number is projected to grow by 16.3%. In TRAPAC’s endorsement video of the Governor, TRA President Mark Davis Bailey said Governor Abbott has “maintained an environment that promotes economic growth and job creation.”
“Earning the endorsement of the Texas Restaurant Association is a tremendous honor,” said Governor Abbott. “The food service industry injects tens of billions of dollars into the Texas economy every year and provides well over one million jobs for hardworking Texans. I look forward to continuing my work with all of our Texas restaurateurs to maintain the Texas economic environment that allows our job creators and entrepreneurs to thrive.”
