Texas leads the nation in so many categories – from job creation to energy production – because our economic model promotes growth and prosperity. In 2013, Texas broke records in exports, selling $279.5 billion in goods overseas. According to the San Antonio Express-News:

That marked a 183 percent increase over the Lone Star State’s export sales in 2003. It also beat Texas’ previous export record of $264.7 billion in 2012.

Last year, companies in the San Antonio-New Braunfels metropolitan area exported $19.3 billion in merchandise.

Greg Abbott has been a consistent champion of the free market principles and conservative fiscal policies that have led to our economic success. As governor, he will continue to fight for our Texas values to make sure we maintain our position as a national leader in exports, job creation and economic growth.

Greg Abbott’s “Working Texans” plan will foster greater opportunity in Texas by keeping taxes low, removing barriers to growth and strengthening our economic environment.
