The Texas Society of Anesthesiologists Political Action Committee (TSAPAC) today endorsed Governor Greg Abbott for re-election. Established in 1993, the TSAPAC is the political arm of the Texas Society of Anesthesiologists, an organization that represents over 3,700 physician anesthesiologists, residents and anesthesiologist assistants statewide. Dr. John Scott, chairman of TSAPAC, spoke highly of Governor Abbott’s commitment to innovation within the field of medicine. He said, in part, “Governor Abbott understands firsthand the need for medical expertise when seconds count during an emergency or surgery. He has supported physician-directed care for our patients, helped grow physician education in Texas, and prioritized funding for medical advancement. The TSAPAC supports four more years of Governor Abbott because he will fight for a safer, healthier Texas.”

“It is an honor to receive the support of the TSAPAC, an organization that faithfully represents the values and concerns of those in the medical field,” said Governor Abbott. “With their help and expertise, we can strengthen the field of medicine and create an even stronger environment of innovation that catapults medical advancement in the state of Texas.”
