Small Business Owners Back Governor Abbott’s Proven Record of Cutting Taxes and Reducing Regulations
AUSTIN — Governor Greg Abbott today received the endorsement from the NFIB Texas PAC. With nearly 20,000 Texas members, this endorsement underscores the Governor’s broad support among the state’s small businesses.
“Small businesses are the backbone of the Texas economy, and the National Federation of Independent Businesses represents the entrepreneurs who power that success,” said Governor Abbott. “By cutting taxes, reducing regulations, and defending free enterprise, Texas has created an environment where small businesses can grow, hire, and compete. Working together, we will advance policies that keep Texas the best state in the nation to start and grow a business.”
“Governor Abbott has been a strong friend to small business owners. Throughout his time as Governor, Greg Abbott has done an outstanding job to ensure Texas remains the best state in the union to own, operate, and grow a small business,” said NFIB State Director Jeff Burdett. “His record speaks for itself: Governor Abbott has consistently sought to reduce regulations, cut taxes, and promote greater economic opportunity for all Texans. On behalf of our nearly 20,000 members across the Lone Star State, I am proud to announce the NFIB Texas PAC’s endorsement of Governor Abbott for a fourth term.”
NFIB, the nation’s leading small business advocacy organization, represents thousands of small businesses across Texas that create jobs, invest in their communities, and drive the state’s economy. Governor Abbott’s commitment to economic growth, a competitive business climate, and responsible regulation has helped ensure Texas remains one of the best states in the nation to start and grow a small business. Under his leadership, initiatives like increasing the personal property tax exemption for small businesses from $25,000 to $125,000, creating the Small Business Freedom Council, and establishing the Texas Regulatory Efficiency Office have strengthened support for the more than 3.5 million small businesses in Texas.
